Who are our potential users?
The goal of my user interviews was to find out how trainers and gym owners might use this product to manage their clients
The users ranged from the ages of 22-32. Pain points for client management occur around the interconnectivity of apps and logistics of tracking more than just exercises. All of the trainers keep tabs on their clients’ body measurements, nutrition habits, weight, strength training exercises, and cardio fitness workouts and measurements.
My goal was to determine how Naked Labs could make this easier on the trainers and I developed a few strategies to do so, along with an idea surrounding new client acquisition. Happy to speak about this over a virtual coffee.
How is the current user experience with Naked Labs?
In addition to creating personas for new users, it was important to the team that I do a dive into our current user base. Naked Labs has a very active community. In the 3,000 pieces sold in 2018, over 60% are still in regular use.
I placed a survey in our Naked Labs Insiders group to get a feel for the current experience. My intention was to survey 30 people, but 87 reached out, and nearly all were willing to do a follow up interview with me. This is a product that has really made an impact for people.
User satisfaction is very high within this group, and I do realize that there may be some implicit bias, but for confidentiality, we did not test new users, Yet, there was a yearning for new features. I’ve prototyped a sample of what these features could be below.
